Being originally from Chicago and knowing Chicago politics well, it’s actually the other way around. Blacks in Chicago have a very strong voice, due to the black population in Chicago. It is the blacks using the Democratic strong hold and they should. Blacks in Chicago, like most other places are Democrats, put and help keep the Democrats in power and the Democrats owe them big time.
Just like anywhere there is discrimination against blacks in Chicago, but doesn’t come close to what it is in other parts of the country. The blacks wouldn’t tolerate it and shouldn’t.
